ICLEI backs data standard for 20 member cities
ICLEI–Local Governments for Sustainability and the World Council on City Data (WCCD) have announced a joint pilot programme that will see 20 leading ICLEI member cities certified against ISO 37120. Working with the WCCD, these 20 cities will be part of the first 100 cities to be registered with the WCCD with verified data in line with ISO 37120

Skoog, designed by Skoogmusic company, is a completely new instrument concept designed for people who can’t play conventional instruments. It is a soft and flexible object simply connected to the USB port of a desktop or laptop. To play the different instruments, only pressing, stroking, tilt or shake the Skoog is necessary as it has dynamic sensors inside to answer any movement

Project AMBAVis-Access to museums for blind and visually impaired people through 3D technology
Museums constitute an essential part of the European cultural landscape. However, they primarily address the visual senses and blind and visually impaired people are therefore excluded from a wide range of services. However, times are changing innovative 3D technologies and multi-sensory approaches are offering new solutions for blind and visually impaired people, by enabling them to get in touch with exhibits and allowing them to participate museums’ educational programmes

Östersund wins the 2014 EMW Award

Junglinster becomes the first municipality of Luxembourg to receive the “Flag of Towns and Cities for All”
