ELISAVA student Juan Pablo Farré, Spanish winner of the James Dyson Award 2017 for the design of an innovative compass

Juan Pablo Farré, a student of ELISAVA's Degree in Engineering in Industrial Design, has won the James Dyson Award 2017 in Spain with Let Timon Drive You, an innovative compass for the 21st century.

Routes according to the mood: The device connects to the pedestrian's mobile phone via Bluetooth. You then enter a destination before you leave and customize the route by entering three tags or momentary desires. These three words will work as filters and the route will have a close relationship with the user's mood.

Let Timon Drive You only shows the address, which allows the pedestrian to decide where he wants to go. This way, the attention of pedestrians focuses on what they find along the way and allows them to enjoy moving in a healthy and clean way. The product has a magnetometer, an accelerometer and a gyroscope that constantly recalculate the user's position, allowing the device to be constantly updated.
